5mo wont take arvo nap! do i just give up?
« on: April 27, 2009, 06:36:45 am »
My 5 month old has a morning nap - usually 40 mins, and a lunchtime nap - usually 1hr30 then he thinks he can be up from 1 or 2pm till bedtime - which I want to be 6 but mostly 5.30 is the latest I can keep him up till currenly..
It seems he is hanging out for his bath (which he loves) - and wants to hang out with his big brother and watch him play.
Our day starts at 6.  So its a pretty long day for my LO I feel.
Could this possibly be normal
I have just spent the last hour trying for an arvo nap (mostly 55 mins of crying - and he wouldnt settle for anything, except the lounge and seeing big bro.)
I really feel for the little man, he cant stay up (well he can but needs company for the last hour & half) but definately doesnt want to nap.
do I keep trying???
our nights are pretty good - constant sleeping, about 12 & half hrs, apart from waking to feed (which is more times than necessary, but thats another post really)
Vanessa :)

Can you provide a routine in the following format?

Awake 7 am
E 7:15

S 8am (45 min) wakes crying

etc. etc.

It's OK if every day is different, just give most recent day even if that was an 'unusual' day.
