This is probably a long shot, but you never know!! OK, for the past 3-4 weeks my 18 mo has had bad diarrhea. Definitely taking in enough water, so I'm not concerned about dehydration. But, we're talking 5-6 blow out diarrhea diapers a day. Just in the past week has developed a really bad diaper rash, too. We havent changed his diet AT ALL. He doesnt sleep great- which I'm not sure has anything to do with this, but thought I'd add it. He's a big guy and usually eats a ton- lately though he's definitely become pickier and wont eat as much. I'm not sure if this is just normal for him now, or if maybe he's developed an allergy to something. Dairy, fruit, etc... theres not really a pattern that I've seen yet...

SO, maybe I'm totally out in left field, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas, or thoughts. Thanks!!!!

I would call your doctor if he's had diarrhea for so long, just to rule out any bugs, or issues with his tummy, and to make sure he's not sick.  I wondered just because he's also become a picky eater perhaps his tummy isn't feeling too good either.  I would definitely call your doc and have him checked out.

What liquids are you offering him?  Too much juice, especially undiluted or not diluted enough, leads to diarrhea.  Or too much fruit??  Can't think of anything else.  I'd check with the doc too.

They rarely get juice, so I dont think thats it. But, maybe fruit. That seems to be my craving this pregnancy so we have a ton of it around. Yeah, he gets a lot of fruit... hmm...

He has his 18 mo check up on monday, so I'll talk to her then and see if it could be a bug.

Just wondering if you spoke to the dr about this??  My 17th month old is doing the same thing at the moment - between 3 to 5 poo's every day!!  Just curious if you got an answer about the cause for your little one.
