Hi
My LO is 19 weeks. She has a DF at 11am but has slept through until 7am without a feed since 13 weeks. Over the last week she's started waking and being really noisy with what we call 'dinosaur noises'. On a good night these start after 4.30am but they can start at 2am and go on and off through the night. She will do it for about an hour and if we leave her usually settles herself eventually without us needing to go in but if we go in and stroke her back then she usually settles almost immediately. So, we've been settling her after about 15-20 mins but I'm worried that we are venturing down the 'accidental parenting' route.
Does anyone know what could cause her to be waking and shouting/babbling away for so long through the night? Should we just leave her for the hour as long as she doesn't start crying or will this make her overtired? We're getting pretty sleep deprived having to go in to settle her (but also, if we don't settle her we're awake for the hour anyway as her noises are very loud!!) so I'd appreciate any advice on how we could help her to stop waking or how to manage it when she does.
(just a few thoughts - she's started learning a lot more noises in the day blowing raspberries etc and also rolling over and started getting caught up in the rungs of the cot recently which was waking her a lot through the night and we'd go in and de-tangle her (but she's actually stopped doing that so much now - not sure if either of these could be contributory factors).
Thanks
