This morning, I gave my DS2 a little taste of my egg yolk with some wheat bread - almost immediately he developed redness all around the perimeter of his mouth.  It lasted for about 20 minutes then went away.  Could this be an indication of an intolerance?  I've noticed that he seems to have tummy problems when I eat yogurt or cottage cheese so I've cut those out of my diet.....

The rash could definitely indicate an allergy and the tummy problems when you eat dairy could also indicate an intolerance.  I would definitely speak to your doctor about this, especially about the egg.  :)
