My lo is 7.5 months and still only eats a few spoonfuls
« on: October 05, 2009, 07:14:55 am »
My lo is 7.5 months and only eats a couple spoonfuls at mealtimes.  I started her at 5.5 months because she was really hungry & going through a growth spurt.  She took to it really well at the time and then regressed because of teething.  Since then, she has been on and off (mostly off) her food.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I have tried a variety of food and I've tried feeding her at different times.  There doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern.  I'm discouraged about preparing food & cleaning up after her when she only takes a few bites.  On the plus side, she does love to drink water from her cup.  I would really appreciate some advice.

Do you think she is teething again?  What you are doing is right with regards to continue to offer her food and trying different times to see if she is more hungry.  have you tried finger food?  If she stops eating from a spoon, then put a few items on her tray and see if she will eat it.

This thread should explain a little about offering finger food.  http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=70142.0
