I have 7 1/2 week old faternal boy/girl twins. We have been practicing Baby Wisheperer for the past 2 weeks and it's been going ok...with some exceptions. My biggest issue is the dreamfeed and trying to get them to sleep more than 3 hours at without needing to feed.
I need help from those who are more experienced with this.
Some background--
We feed every 3 hours during the day. Twin 1, eats 4 ounces. Twin 2, eat 5 ounces.
Naps are typically 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but start out with alot of fussing as we are still in "training"
We put them to bed at 7:30 and after some fussing, they usually fall asleep at like 8pm.
We've been doing the dreamfeed at like 10:00pm or 10:30pm for the past almost 2 weeks and they still wake up at between 1:00am and 2:00am and take an almost full feed at that time. They are both dead tired when we wake them for the DF...I may only get like 2 oz in them if I am lucky...I wonder if I didn't do the DF what time they'd wake up....maybe they'd sleep till like 1 or 2 without us waking them up and we'd get a solid sleep stint. Thoughts?
This is what my EASY kinda looks like (let me know if this looks right):
7:00 to 7:45 Feed and Activity time: wake up, lights on, and feed, dress, burp
7:45/8:00 9:30 (10:00 max) Nap: swaddle, white noise, nap in cribs in dark room
10:00 11:00 Feed and Activity time: wake, change diaper, play
11:00 1:00 Nap: swaddle, white noise, nap in cribs in dark room
1:00 2:00 Feed and Activity time: wake, change diaper, play
2:00 4:00 Nap: swaddle, white noise, nap in cribs in dark room
4:00 5:00 Feed and Activity time: wake, change diaper, play
5:00 to 5:45 - Nap
6:30 - wake up (if not up already) and get ready for bed
7:00 pm feed: quiet time, soft music
7:30 - down in crib for the night - fusses a bit but settles down around 8:00/8:30ish
10:30 Dreamfeed --VERY sleepy...lucky if can gett them to take 1 or 2 ounces
2:00am or 2:30 - wakes...I feed 4 to 5 ounces
5:00am or 5:30 - wakes...I feed 4 to 5 ounces
7:00am wake up time...start EASY again. Not that hungry because just fed at 5 or 5:30 so I have them like 3 ounces only and they don't even seem to want that much
I'm sure I'm missing something...HELP please!
