Every hour woke up since i´ve reestart to work
« on: November 05, 2009, 11:40:48 am »
I´ve reestart to work 2 weeks ago, Luca was sleeping in our bed, we decided to put him in his bed, he started EASY 3 hours with his father. Before he was eating 160 ml easily, but now he doesn´t want to eat.... he wakes up every hour at night and of course his siestas are shorter than ever (before not more than 60 minutes)
Today we are going to pass to 4 hours EASY and PU/PD, any suggestion?

Sorry, Luca is just 3 months, 7,3 KG
About his naps, during the day for example,
at  8am he eats , we try to keep him awake till 9:15, then he uses to sleep 50 minutes, then we try again to sleep him again, usualy it takes 20 minutes and he sleeps 30 or 40 minutes more.
At 11 am eats, at 12:15 sleep, usually not more than 45 minutes + 25 minutes more (2nd round)
14 p.m. eats
15:15  sleep (50 minutes + 30)
17:00 eats
18:00 sleep (40 minutes)
19:20 bath
19:45 eats
20:05 sleep BUT here recently it takes more than 30 minutes (crying)
23:00 last eat sleeping

I wonder if he is ready for a little more A time, at 3 months most can manage 1.5hrs awake. I think he is still too young for 4 hrs EASY - they really need to be able to manage 2hrs awake time to make the transition. At 3 months a 'perfect' routine would look like this:
E/A: 8am
S: 9.30am
E/A: 11am
S: 12.30pm
E/A: 2pm
S: 3.30pm
E/A: 5pm
S: 6.30pm (30mins)
A: 7pm
E: 7.45pm
S: 8pm

Is he swaddled? Does he take a paci? Do you you use shush-pat to settle him?

A paci is a dummy/pacifier/soother - does he take one? If you feed him at 4am does not that settle him back to sleep?
