Erratic feeding during GS
« on: November 23, 2009, 23:32:23 pm »
My LO is going through what I believe is his 3m growth spurt.
The reason I'm not sure is because he isn't feeding consistently.

He is ravenous when he hits the breast - I swear sometimes it feels like he's going to suck my entire nipple off! I've had to pull out the nipple shields - but he isn't regular in his feed cues and only eats for about 4-8m.
Through the night he'll be wanting food every 2 hours but during the day he can go up to 2hr, 2hr 30, once even 2hr 45m. (He's usually on a 3hr EASY).

I'm really confused about whether this is really a growth spurt or if I've totally misread his signs...

I can't really post yesterday's EASY because it was all over the place due to the crazy feeding.
Taking it one day at a time.

Sounds like a growth spurt to me!  Here's a couple links you might find helpful:

Is he gaining well?  Plenty of wet and messy diapers?
