6:30 or 730am waking? 12 week old
« on: December 11, 2009, 22:00:51 pm »
recently our almost 12 week old has been wanting to complete his 12 hour sleep phase something he didnt want to do for the first 9-10 weeks of life...
his bedtime is 745 and at first he would wake at 5 then it pushed out to 6 and now its 630...the thing is that for the first 9 weeks or so he wouldnt go back to sleep to finish his 12 hour sleep phase and now he wakes at 630 eats and goes back to sleep til 745 thus completing his 12 hour sleep phase...I try to feed him at 745 but he barely takes any he is breastfed.

so my question is which is the wake up feed of the day 630 or 730? or can I average it at 7?

for several weeks he has been eating at these times regardless of 630 or 730 wake up in fact he seems not to be so hungry at 3 hours all the time (another posting all together)
eating
630am
745 barely
1015
115
415
715
3am

so is 630 considered his early waking but not start of day?
at 3 months they figure out daytime sleep?
when do they figure out nighttime sleep seeing when the 3am waking will go I guess not for a while if he doesnt take a dreamfeed?
is 630 considered a "nightfeed" if he goes back to sleep til 745?

Hi -  I just posted on your other thread and suggested 6.30 may be the natural wake up time, so you might consider shifting to a 6.30 am to 6.30 pm routine and see where that gets you  ;)
