my 7 month old had diarrheah for a week and vomiting at the beginning also. for that whole time he never ate any solids and had reduced amounts of formula. now he is better, he has a huge appetite but also wants more milk at night. he used to have one feed around 11pm and he would then go through till 5.30am, but now its 11pm, 3am, and he is up around 6am. if i offer water for the second feed it just quietens him for a few mins and then he is crying again. then i give milk and he is back to sleep. is this usual after illness, and how do i stop him getting into the routine of two night feeds. on the one hand i dont want to encourage this ( and i would prefer him to have more milk in the day) on the other hand i dont want to ignore him if he is hungry!!
any suggestions?
