Tanking up at 9 weeks
« on: December 30, 2009, 03:55:10 am »
My LO is 9 weeks old and I just read that we stop the cluster feed at 8 weeks which I was doing up until today. Before, we fed at 8, 11, 2, 5, 7, 9 and dreamfeed at 11pm and I can get up to 4 hrs of sleep from him. My question is when I stop the cluster feed, do I just feed at 8, 11, 2, 5 and 8pm with a dreamfeed at 11pm or should I do the last feed a little sooner than 8pm?

When is bedtime? I would keep bedtime the same, just do the last feed right before bed, then the dreamfeed.

I kept the cluster feeds til I transitioned to 3.5 hr and 4 hr EASY - they just melded closer together into one feed.  I know that's loads longer than the book suggests, but my dd was sttn and I didn't want to mess with that.

Thanks. I got 4 hrs. from him yesterday without the cluster. Here's hoping that it will stretch out longer soon!

The past 2 nights, he woke up every 3-3.25 hrs and woke up again 1-2 hrs after the 5am feed. Is there anything I can do to extend his feeds?
