5 month old and the catnap
« on: January 10, 2010, 02:07:32 am »
DS is on a great 4 hour EASY but I can start to see that it will become more difficult to give him the catnap.  What should I do about this?  I usually have him catnap between the time of around 4.30pm - 5pm to preserve a 7pm bedtime.  Is it better for him to shift the catnap later to around 5.30pm and make bedtime later (which would possibly result in less night sleep)  or not do the catnap and give an early bedtime?  Obviously I will keep trying for the catnap but my concern is if he hasn't fallen asleep by 5pm do I persevere or push through to bed?  Would love to hear what others have done.  He's textbook.

Thanks very much...

I would start by shortening the catnap and see what he does
