bedtime battles

So we (my 12 wk old) have been using EASY for 11 days now. It was hard to get the routine started, but we have pretty much stuck to it and it seems to be helping in two significant ways. One is that he is sleeping much more now (11-12 hrs per day instead of 7-8). Also he is more pleasant when awake now probably because he is less overtired. The one big exception is that every time we go upstairs for a nap or bedtime, I have a battle on my hands. It started with he would fuss a little when swaddled and then calm down during wind down in 3-5 minutes or so. Now, he gets swaddled and starts fussing. Wind down is more of a wind up as we sit quietly in the darkened nursery. He works himself into a screaming rage that lasts as much as 30 minutes or so. Nothing consoles him   during that time except to unswaddle him and go back downstairs - where he is still fussy because he's tired. He flails wildly if not swaddled and cant sleep. So basically, he is crying it out until he passes out, even though Im holding him and trying to comfort him.
Once he is calm, I put him down drowsy and he goes to sleep pretty well but the 30mis or so is really frustrating and I feel like Im doingsomething wrong.

 Hi There,

Perhaps you could post your EASY, something may need a wee tweak.  ;D
