My 9 mth old dd's schedule is this

6:45 Wake up and BF
8:00 Eats Fruits and Toast
9:00 Nap 1 hr in bed bag with dolly and blankie
10:00 Plays or go for a walk
11:00 BF
12:15 Lunch (sweet potato and baby cereal) aprox 100ml of baby food and 2tbs of cereal
1:00 Nap 2 hrs in bed bag with dolly and blankie
3:00 BF
5:00 Dinner (fruit and baby cereal) aprox 100ml of baby food and 2tbs of cereal
6:00 Bath, Jammies, Story
6:15 Yogurt
7:00 BF and Bed in bed bag with dolly and blankie

She wakes at 10:15pm if I haven't gone in to do the DF (15min) but regardless will go back to sleep after being fed and wake at 1:30, 3:30, 5:30 and then for the day at 6:45. I have tried pu/pd but she screams like crazy!
Naps are no problem during the day, we sing a song, lay her down and leave the room she settles in 5 -10 min.  never crying just cooing to her doll. Bed time is the same - no problems. It's handling the night wake ups. I have tried singing the lullaby, pu/pd - an hour later the screaming was worse than when we started. Breastfeeding back to sleep but she still wakes up at the next scheduled time. waking her up 15 min before she normally would get up - but then stuck with the same situation just 15min earlier... She is teething but this is not affecting her at any other time during the day. She does not crawl or attempt to pull herself up just lays in the crib and lifts her arms to be picked up (princess). I am currently pulling her out of her crib and BF her in my bed then putting her back in her crib.
Any suggestions would be great I am tired also have a 2 year old who sleeps great thanks to the BW. I started him on pu/pd when he was pulling himself up in the crib - seemed easier! He probably just got tired quicker from the workout!

I wonder if you have to stop BFing her in the night.  Have you tried this?  It'll be a rough few days but she knows how to go to sleep independently at other times of the day so she'll get there.  Sounds like she just wants to nurse at all those times.

I just replaced my DS's 2am feed with PU/PD.  I was up for 3h the first night but it got better from there and after 4 nights he wasn't waking then anymore.

Just my thought!  :D

i have 2 thoughts...1) her A time is quite different throughout the day.  i think you should even it out.  she has a really long stretch - 4 hours A before bed and so may be a bit OT by the time bedtime hits, and a fairly short A time in the morning, 2 hours 15 min.  i would aim for a consistent A time, or just out by 15 min or so:
6:45 awake
10-11 sleep
2:30-4 sleep
7 or 7:30 bed

and 2) i agree with pp, just stop feeding her at night.  the df should be enough at this age.  i was having similar problems with dd2 a week ago, many many nws and i was bf most of those times because it was just easier when i have a toddler too.  but i decided to take the plunge, and stopped cold turkey no feeds.  and 2 days later she's sttn or if she does wake she's now self soothing back to sleep.  last night she sttn 11.5 hours no feeds or wakings.  it's amazing, and wasn't that tough.

good luck

OK, I'm going to go for it and not BF after her DF. Attempted this last night (just keeping my hand on her and saying - go to sleep Mummy's here) but she cried for 2 hours and with both of us so worked up I caved. :0(
Nervous!

You can do it!  Try to be strong and stick to your plan since if you let her cry for 2h and end up feeding you'll send mixed messages and you've both then been miserable for 2h for nothing.

Good luck and keep us posted!  ;)

i agree, don't let her cry for 2 hours and then feed her, it will just teach her if she cries long enough she will get fed.  decide at the beginning that you are not going to feed her and follow through.  if you are consistent it won't b e too long and it will be so worth it!
