when did you start giving LO weetabix?
« on: February 02, 2010, 23:44:42 pm »
Hi there - when did you start giving your LO weetabix?  I'm considering giving it to DD2 soon.  She could never have rice cereal because it made her really constipated, but am going to try barley or oat cereal this week, and then I though of weetabix.  I can't quite remember when I started feeding it to DD1 - I'm sure she was close to 1.

Thanks
Anita

I think somewhere around 7 months.  I started using it once i gave up on using the 'baby cereal'.

Thanks!  Did you mix it with breastmilk or formula at that stage rather than regular milk?

We gave it around the same time too - with whole cow's milk. They both love it!

How did you serve it? Just let it get mushy in formula or milk?

I just add milk and let it get all mushy - like a thick puree really. I add some pureed fruit for DD too just for a bit of variety!

Bought some to try tomorrow morning. About how much milk/formula do you add for one biscuit? I'd like to let it sit and get like a thick puree and maybe add some lumpy/mashed peaches...

My little one loves it, you can also get one that is sugar and salt free which is great!! Bit of hot water and some full cream milk. Gobbles it down:)

Same here, probably gave it around 7 months, with cow's milk. He loved it for a month or so but wont eat it now (unless Im eating it, then he'll happily have some of mine!!) !!!
