hi - my one year old LO started nursery 3 weeks ago. He does 2 mornings a week - I drop him off from 8.30/9ish and pick him up at 1pm.

At home, he has been having his first nap at about 9.45/10am for about 40mins and then his second one at about 1.45/2.15 for about an hour.

However, at nursery, he isn't having a nap until about 11.30 or even sometimes 12.30! the staff - who are lovely - say he just doesn't seem tired until then (prob due to stimulation of other kids etc) and then when he is tired, they rock him to sleep in the bouncer. WHen he had his nap at 11.30, he woke up himself at 12, and then when he went to sleep at 12.30, i had to wake him up when i went to pick him up!

SO...the rest of his day goes to pot...what i have been doing - because he just can't go through the day from 12 or 1 until bedtime with no nap - is i let him go down at about 3.30 or 4 and wake him up after half an hour/45 mins - is this the right thing to do? it's very late for him (he's never been the greatest at going down to bed for the night) and i think it is affecting his night sleep -he is waking up a bit more - and he does also seem to be waking up earlier - could it be because of his funny days? Also, it means that on the afternoons of his nursery days, it's hard for me to go out or plan anything cos i just don't know where i am..

has anyone else had this happen? what do you think i should do?
thanks for any advice
