really need help!
« on: March 11, 2010, 21:56:12 pm »
my daughter is 6 weeks old(yesterday) she was on a 4oz every 4hrs and doing well waiting the 4hrs.  her issue was/is screaming everytime the bottle is taken out to burp, and will rarely burp for us, thus leading to stomach pains which wake her up.  last night i tried a new tactic; i cluster fed her and she went to bed by 9, 11 we dreamfeed her, she woke up at 345 to be fed. at 6 i heard her cough, then gag then i heard her gasp and take in a huge breath, so i went it, picked her up patted her then she let out a huge burp and projectile spit up everwhere.  so, i think maybe she got too much? but then when we stop feeding her she screams? now i am doing 3oz every 3hrs(doc suggested after my phone call this morning) but, she still cries then, too.

Have you tried giving her wind drops (infacol in the UK) to help the wind? If she is used to 4oz and keeps it down she would probably still be hungry after 3oz, but a 3 hour routine is more appropriate for her age.

Have a look here and see if anything seems familiar, it is possible she may have a degree of reflux http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=654.0

What do you think?
