Start of the end of my BFing journey
« on: March 14, 2010, 15:47:41 pm »
Today is the first day I haven't brought my pump to work since returning to work after DS2 was born.
It's a bittersweet day.   :-\

Good because it frees me from having to pump on my breaks and having to lug my oversized lunch bag to accomodate the pump, milk etc and my own lunch.  I had been pumping for the last 5 months more to maintain supply.  DS2 has been BFing less and less at home so I don't have to pump for personal comfort.

Sad because it signals the end of my BFing journey - possible forever as the likelyhood of having more children is pretty slim.   :'(

Just a bit pensive and sad.  :( :'( :(

(((hugs))) :-*

I actually stopped bringing my pump to work a couple of weeks ago and was feeling silly that I was sad about it - I complained about it all the time and yet it felt *wrong* not to be pumping.  Thank you for posting, it actually makes me feel a bit better to know that it's not silly to feel this way and that others feel it too.

Here for (((hugs))) and a virtual hand to hold whenever you need it :)

Wow on the bfing experience you have given your LOs.

I just weaned a few weeks ago at 22 months and I was very sad too.  Its bittersweet for sure so allow yourself to feel sad but also congratulate yourself on the amazing length of time you bf for.
