Nice that you're getting a crib set up at your mom's. If he slept 7-6 in the crib at your in-laws maybe he'll continue to improve and the crib at your mom's will be more comfortable as well. Hopefully he'll get used to it sooner rather than later. :)

Thanks ladies.  Refused a nap again today. ::) I tried for a 5 pm bedtime and he didn't fall asleep until 6:40ish.  I wish this wasn't so hard.  I am praying for no NW's.

oh Kara, just been reading along, you poor thing, you must be SO frustrated! i know how frustrated i get when Caleb doesnt nap, even more so when i walk him in the stroller for an hour and he STILL doesnt sleep, but to be pregnant as well, gosh i really feel for you! is the room at your Mums place darkened? I know Caleb will not sleep in another cot/pack in play/whatever no matter how i make it like his room, unless its really really dark, otherwise he gets distracted by the "new" room but with it dark enough he cant see it and cant focus on it... have you tried that>?

Thanks Jo.  The light is definitely part of the issue.  The room she had it in was like sleeping outside it was so bright.  But I kept moving it into her bedroom while I was there, because it was much darker.  DH and I set the crib up in my old bedroom, which is nice and dark.  So I am hoping that helps.  I will find out today...

The light will definitely make a difference I think.  It affects their sleep drive.  Hoping the dark room will help!

We just don naps in the buggy in a dark room at ILs, rocking it till he sleeps then leaving him there! DS won't nap long like that but better than no nap and your LO may sleep longer.

No nap again today. :( It was actually sad because this was a new room for my LO and he was doing the saddest cry.  He cried for about 20 minutes and then sat in the crib for another 45 before he wanted out.  I am aiming for a 5 pm bedtime again.

Laura, my LO won't sleep in the stroller unless I have been walking for a while.  It is too bad because that is a good idea!

Kara - same for us with the buggy and DS will only sleep while it is being pushed, as soon as we stop his eyes ping open...could you get someone to do it for you tomorrow so you can have a break?

DS has to be really tired and I make sure he can't see me or anything much and just push till he's in a deep sleep - if I stop before he wakes up.  Could you try this rather than the cot as that's not working.

Would he sleep on your ILs actual bed?  With pillows around him?

About the bed, I was so tired today I almost tried getting him to sleep with me in it!!  But since he has been older, he looks at the bed as a playground.  When he was younger, sick, and not sleeping at all at day care, I used to cuddle with him for 1/2 hour to get a cat nap in him when I got home from work.  Now he likes jumping on the bed and messing around.

Becky, it is pouring rain here, so the stroller is out.  I think it is supposed to rain again tomorrow.  It looks like I will be able to do naps in our house towards the end of the week, so maybe he can get caught up.

Kara you are really doing all you can hun.  You are setting the stage, providing the conditions, etc.  It's up to him really at this point.  If he's at his own place as you said maybe he will catch up a bit and you can play it that way :-)  Big big hugs to you.
