Charli - have you tried either, earlier bed with the routine above OR cutting the nap?

Do you mean cut the nap altogether or shorten it? She so rarely sleeps more than 1 hour 45 mins so I have never felt it necessary, do you think I should try cutting to 1.5 hours? She finally fell asleep at 9.10pm tonight so I think 4.5 hours is the absolute minimum A time she will do before bed...I reckon 5.5 hours is about right  ???

So maybe if I didn't cut the nap and she was waking around 1.30 (most days, I would wake her a bit earlier than this on a Friday if necessary) try bedtime at 7? Or bedtime at 6.30 in the hope she is asleep about 7  ??? I am still so clueless about all this after all these months  :P :-[

Charlie, off course I don't mind, you are very welcome! :)

I think you could try to push and cut her nap a little, it has started working for me on the first night...you can do the early nap only on Fridays though, I think one day is easy to catch up on the following days...

Let's see how it goes now with the 20min nap, the earliest I could do was 6:30, I hope she sleeps well...

xx

Thank you :-* And I must say Maria is SO cute, gorgeous photo!

I think I will try pushing the nap but perhaps not cutting yet (unless for some reason she sleeps over 2 hours but that is so unlikely)

Hope she settled OK for you at 6.30, fingers crossed for tonight :)

Just shorten it - but it sounds like you don't have an "excellent" napper so probably doesn't apply!

try bedtime at 7? Or bedtime at 6.30 in the hope she is asleep about 7
I just thought if you tried an earlier bt she *may* fall asleep earlier - she may not of course but thought it was worth a shot!  I probably would do a 6.45pm bt.

Given Luara is having success though maybe abandon what I've just said and try her suggestion :P

Thanks girls how were your nights?
DD woke at 1.30am (after 9.10pm sleep time) then was up for the day at 6.35am, so actually that wake-up time is a big improvement on the past few days! 9.5 hour night but there you go!
Circumstance meant I wasn't able to get her down til 12.30 today so unintentional 6 hour A time this morning...She has been asleep for 40 mins now, praying she sleeps for at least 1.5 hours!!

Hey girls, how are you doing? I'm sorry yesterday was mother's day in Brazil, I had such a busy day I couldn't get to my computer.

Charlie, thank you I also think she's so cute! ;D - how is your DD going?

Laura, isn't that nice?  ;)

We, again  ::), had a weird day yesterday we went to the church's service and had BT at 11:00pm!!! :o She woke twice but settled easily and woke up at 7:30. Not so bad I guess...when you Los get really OT do you do nap earlier? I wasn't sure so she slept at 11:30 and she went till 1:30. then at night an early bedtime and lets see...

xx

Hello there, how's everything going Charlie? I forgot to say that I agree you shouldn't shorten her nap since she doesn't usually does 2hrs, is she settling fine with the early bt?

My Clara has been recovering well from that horrible late bt on Sunday, last night she did 12hrs night w/ no NW! well I think she really is a good sleeper... I hope everything keeps going right..

That's great news hun, hope she keeps it up!

Kind of all over the place here but she did STTN on Sunday night, then up 1.30-3am on Monday night but was very coldy and coughing.

Yesterday she was up at 7.15am which was great (I think DH not having to get up for work at the crack of dawn helped there) Ended up only napping for 20 mins :( So I put her in bed early and she was asleep at 6.40pm  :o which is sooo early here and she STTN til 5.15am...Granted I would have rather a longer night but it was lovely not being woken up in the night :)

Just going to attempt to stretch out her morning A time slightly more as I think I was over-estimating how long she could last in the afternoon, and do a decent bedtime...But my child is an enigma, what works for one week seems to fail the next  ::)

Thanks for checking in hope it all stays on track for you  :-*
