I wish our crib had a level that low, Mashi. I suppose if needed we could remove the drawer underneath (there is a sliding drawer) and maybe lower the slats down to that level? Hmm will have to ask DH. Not there yet but would rather be prepared!

Hmm I wonder if we have the same crib Karen.  We have a drawer too.  Storkcraft Aspen Stages model.  But Tom insists it is at the lowest level.  Which is actually going to make it a high toddler bed come to think of it.

Actually crap - our crib has been recalled! Ours is a drop-side and apparently it's plastic and crap.

So he's destined to fall out :-(
The tweaking never stops!

Mashi - I can only assume that people have all different levels of cots.  Ours is a cot bed and Ethan hasn't been able to climb out of it yet and he's over 2.5 and is a bit of a climber.  The other day he had taken his grobag off and was balanced on the side of it with one leg either side but didn't drop to the floor.  Can't say I blame him though as it's quite a drop!

Our babyden was at the lowest level and Oscar *could* do it by 20 mths. He is tall and was a very tall baby before 2 yrs old, has slowed down since....was 86cm at a year and I think 95 at his 2 yr check....

In the cot, once he had scaled the babyden, I put his grobag on back to front so he had no way of opening it and then no way of hitching one leg up.

I am starting to worry about Emma as she is even more of a climber than he was....

Yeah it probably helps that Ethan is a bit of a titch!  He's just hit 90cm.

Ours is a Storkcraft too, and with the drawer. It's really not that high as a toddler bed, Spencer can climb into it with ease and that's saying something. The recall was the reason we converted it to a BGB.
