Chatting at night in 3 months old ?developmental
« on: July 14, 2010, 08:42:21 am »
Just a quick question.
My 3 month old has been a good night sleeper since birth. She has a DF  and wakes for a bottle between 0430 and 0530. In the last week or so I hear her chatting to herself sometimes for up to an hour.It may be after the  0430 feed or just before . She will put herself back to sleep .
I ware ear plugs and she is outside my bedroom door but it still keeps me awake.
I think I remember DD1 doing this also
Is it developmental ???

Hi there, hmm could you post your routine.  When you say chatting is she mantra crying or just grizzling or cooing?  If you are hearing her through ear plugs I assume she must be quite loud?

Hi there, her day doesn't look bad to me.  It could be that she's moving towards a longer EASY routine, and need a bit more A time in the day.  Sometimes the happy waking in the night can be a signal.  If she's going back to sleep and still handling her day well then I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to interfere with things.  But you could think about her A time and see if you think she can handle any more.
