You are giving a great selection already!

My ds just turned 11 months, we do pretty much the same as you but I also will often give him protein and veggies during breakfast, he doesn't know the difference of what a proper breakfast food is :P. I also find that we are often out in the afternoons so the normal breakfast foods can be easier to give for lunch and so I give lunch for breakfast.

I think your selections sound great as well!

We often do waffles or pancakes and use them like a spoon when he's refusing the spoon! ;)  So we'll dip waffles in yogurt or applesauce, for instance.  He loves it and then he still gets the healthy stuff in him, which I love. :D

Also, I try to make things into finger foods as much as possible - so for instance I'll make instant oatmeal but not put in as much water as it calls for so he can actually pick up globs of the oatmeal.  Very messy but he loves it!

HTH. :D

You can put nearly anything in a quiche. I do a lot of meat and veggies, but it's all stuck together with egg so it is easy to grab. I add milk and cheese to it. :)

OOH! Quiche is a good one!  My dd loved french toast at that age....I mix a bit of milk and cinnamon with the egg batter! And I always toss fresh halved blueberries into her pancakes, because why not?  :)

Oh and muffins!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You can use bagels/english muffins/flavored breads (ie cinnamon raisin, etc.) to change up old standbys.

Great thank you all.
FTM! giving veggies for breakfast!!!! never thought of that... lo loves steamed broccoli... mmm

Today, i tried the pancakes, but lo wasnt able to chew then properly bc they were slippery... they are thin... i think waffles will be better... i ll check the recipe for that.

I love the idea of quiche!!!! i can make for us and for her at the same time and it s sooo rich!
she loves french toast already :D

I also love the idea of english muffins and flavoured bread too!

thank you all

If you make fluffier pancakes they should be much easier to chew. Check around for other recipes which use different quantities of the ingredients and you might find she takes to them better. I just buy the boxed stuff as I am not much of a "from scratch" cook and they come out a bit thicker and easy to break apart/chew etc.

We did Baby led weaning so basically finger foods from 6 months and G's absolute favorite was cream cheese on toast with cucumber sticks on the side ;-) He is still not too bothered about breakfast cereal (at 19 months) although he will go through a porridge phase every now and then, and still likes his toast/bagel with yoghurt/cream cheese/humous. have fun
