Picture probs

I have not been able to replace my pic for a while now, the last time I tried I got this msg:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/thebabyw/public_html/smf/Sources/ManageAttachments.php on line 1066

I have used pics form this folder before and never had a prob with the size, so I dont really know how to fix it. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

This is probably my fault, there is another post about the Avatars being broken earlier today. I fixed them, but if you made changes too then my fix may not have worked.

Have you tried re-uploading the picture?

edit: Actually, I see there are still problems with some avatars. Don't touch anything, i'm looking

OK so the file that the forum is looking for is not in the backup either. I guess that error message (which has now been fixed) messed it up. Sorry about that.

I tried to up load it again and I did not get a error msg, but it also did not change the picture.  It just shows as a red X....

Although my pic probs didnt just start, it happened about three weeks ago and I have been trying off and on to change it and it is always showing the Red X, so maybe a prob with my pictures?  But I have used them before and there has not been a issue....

Also the msg I got 3 weeks ago when it first started was a pop up that said something (sorry I cannot remember) and then it would take me to a blank white screen and I would have to go to my favorites and re-open the site.

Ahh so it wasn't something that started today then. That error you got today was my fault, I saw what I did wrong, but it's fixed now.

Maybe the picture is too big to upload. What is the file size of it?

OK, I just re-uploaded mine and it's gone. Uploading avatars seems to be broken right now. Ugh.

I'll look into this tomorrow and let you know when it's fixed

It was late and I was tired, it works fine. I was trying to upload a pic that's too big and got the same problem you were having.

Can you try reducing it in size (google's Picasa works GREAT for this kind of stuff and is super easy to use) and trying again?

Yeah i will see if I can get my DH to reduce the size then.....

Althougth I have used them before without changing the size

Oh, forgot to mention that I tried to change it to one of the personalized pictures (like actors, the first option in the picture area) and it would not work either.  It also came up as the red X.

OK, I fixed the actors thing. I had you as Brad Pitt for a few mins. Hope you don't mind. This was a separate problem (I like you, you help me find bugs!

As for the pic uploading problem, it's possible that the ones you used before just happened to be small enough...

Ok, it must be a size prob.  I read in the sticky that the pic cannot be over 100kb and I just checked and mine are 1.26 to 2.61mb so definately bigger.  I will get DH to download that google picasa and fix it. 

I did try to put the one I had on before (that did work) on again and it still wouldnt work, I think I will be brad pitt till I get this figured out
