Hi, My LO is 6 months old this week and for the past month at least she has been waking around the 5am mark sometimes it would get pushed to 5.45 but I am starting to think it will not go away by itself. I have tried extending the first morning activity to no avail and in the past I would go in at that first waking and guve her the paci but now its like she is hungry as she wont settle until she is fed. We also used to dreeam feed but this made no difference and she eventually stopped having a need for milk at the 10pm time.
Our EASY is a little bit over the place at the moment but it would always be:
7am feed ( which has recently become anything from 5 - 6am)
9am down for a sleep 1.5 - 2 hours
11am feed
1pm sleep
3pm feed
6pm bottle before bath to get her through
7pm top up and then bed
She also has a slight cold and cough at the moment and I dont know if this has anything to do with it, I thought maybe she was thirsty? But it doesnt wake her during the night so Im not sure why just at 5am, which I think has become habitual but I wanted to find out at this age do they become hungrier because of needing solids shortly?
She is taking solids and was begun on them last week so maybe she isnt getting enough of the solids? She also is struggling to go the 4 hour EASY, I end up having to feed her around the 3.5 hour mark because she gets so hungry. I really want to get back on track we were doing so well and I know she is sleeping for a while but when she wakes at 5 she is grumpy and not refreshed.
Thank you for reading and any feedback is appreciated x
