does A time need to be the same throughout the day?
« on: December 30, 2010, 20:34:54 pm »
My son is 1 year old today. The last few days his night sleep has not been as good so I think he must be ready for 2 to 1 nap transition. However another thing that has come up is the A time. Till now he was lasting 3.5 hours in the morning so we kept to that long A time throughout the day. However I have always thought that the later in the day the more tired he would be? having said that. He sometimes seem to get a burst of energy after a meal. Is that a "false" energy?
Thanks.

Hey there hun, and happy b-day to your little guy and you :)

Well, all children are different and handle A times in a varying manners, some decrease their A times as the day progresses, while others reduce it.

At this age, I agree that an A time extensions is probably needed, so could you post your routine in EASY format to better assess? Also , how are your nights.

One more things, since your little guy is a officially a toddler now, I will move your post to the sleeping for toddlers board. :)
