12 months A time
« on: January 17, 2011, 01:46:02 am »
Hello,

A quick question...my DD is almost 12 months and generally has an A time of 3 hours. I know she should have a longer A time. She still has 2 naps a day and goes down very easily for her naps and bedtime. Do I just leave things as is since they are working or do I try and increase her A time?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I say. ;)  All LOs are different and A times are recommended but you're the best judge of what's working for  your DD.

But I'm going to pop this post over to Toddler Sleep since you'll get more eyes from those with LOs your DD's age over there.

For sure, leave it until she tells you otherwise.  There could be lots of reasons she needs more sleep and is low on A times, including teeth.  Follow LO :-)
The tweaking never stops!

I provide daycare for a 15 month old boy who still does 3 hours A time and 2 good naps a day, sleeps like a dream at night.  My 16 month old does more like 5 hours A ... they're all so different so just keep with it if it's working!
