NW & Tummy Issues
« on: February 09, 2011, 19:32:25 pm »
My ds is just over 6.5 months old. We have major nw problems. However, my biggest concern is the first one. He 'normally' goes to bed around 6:30pm. Every single night he wakes around 9-9:30 with, what seems, to be gas or tummy issues. He's trying to get off his belly. He grunts, strains, curls up his legs or arches his back when I pick him up. This is the ONLY time of day/night that it bothers him. The only thing I do differently is feed (nurse) him closer to bedtime. He sleeps on his belly and I'm thinking the milk is not fully digested when he goes to bed and it's upsetting his stomach. Although, oddly, this doesn't really happen during the other night feedings. Just this one time. I really don't understand why or how to fix it. I normally nurse him around 6pm and then right to bath and bed at 6:30. Should I do his last milk feeding at 5:30pm? That just seems so early and, for sure, he'll wake to eat during the night.

Anyone every have a lo go thru this? Any suggestions much appreciated!

Also, what is the rest of his routine like for the entire day?  And is there anything new in your diet, since you are bfing?
