How much solid food at 8 months?

Just wondering how much solid food my lo 'should' be eating. The last few nights he has demanded the boob at every hourly nw. This could be a prop developing, but I am wondering if he is just hungry. After a long horrible night on the boob he is gobbling his solids. We are still not consistent in how much solid food he is getting and I', wondering if this is a problem. He is breastfed.

Hello old friend DD2 is nearly 9m but I'll tell you what she's on now and has been for about a week max...
Morning milk
Brek 1/2 weetabix or ready brek with 1/2 mashed banana
Mid morning mini rice cake
Lunch baby rice with butternut squash
Milk sometime after lunch
Possibly a rice cake mid afternoon
Tea lamb, sweet potato and carrot pie

That's a typical example. She normally has 2 night feeds but yesterday I gave her meat at lunch and tea and she only has one nf so I do wonder if she is genuinely hungry too...

Maybe he is going through a GS?  I don't think there is a typical amount LOs should be eating, afterall they eat what they eat!  My DS2 was just starting to get into eating more solids around 8mos.  He was eating 3 meals a day, but sometimes not much at each meal (BLW), plus 4xBF day and 1 or 2 at night.  If he's drinking all his milk and still eating a lot of solids, then give him as much as he wants!
