what do 1hr and 20min naps mean for you?
« on: April 07, 2011, 15:48:08 pm »
I have a post on the EASY board and it seems that my 1.5hour naps are now going down to 1 hr and 10-20mins.  We are teething here.
Normal A for DD2 is 3hrs and 20min. MIL followed her cues this morning and she was up for 3hrs and 40min and this still produced a 1hr and 20min nap.  She has reflux and it seems to be flaring ATM due to the teething.

Wondering what 1hr and 20min naps mean for you?

For my 10 month old, this would be the best and longest nap ever taken at home...  We can't get past 30 minutes (well, 20 minutes today), but he sleeps 2.5 hrs at the sitter.  GGGGRRRRRRRRR.

I also get 1 hr 10 mins or 1 hr 20 mins all the time.  I call it a good nap!

Nice to hear from pps that they consider this a good nap. For me I think it can either be and OT or a UT nap. DS didn't do these when younger - we had more 30-45 minute naps which were either OT or UT at the time. Not sure if that makes sense.

thanks ladies.

We had a two hour am nap this morning. Very surprised. Could be b/c of the long A times yesterday so she was probably catching up.

I will take the 1hr and 20min naps as good naps.

yup, I counted it as a decent nap and move on... for a while there I tried to decipher what every single nap length and what it meant, and it drove me insane.

I agree.  The way I see it if she naps for an hour or more I'm happy.  We tend to get a 45 min nap in the morning.  Then an hour and a half and then 30-45 minute cat nap.  DD is 6 months old now.

Totally agree.

After her two am nap she had a one hour nap(I had to wake her) and went to bed easily. She then woke up at 1am (rarely does) talking and wanting to play.  :-X

I'd call it a very decent nap too - as long as you get through the 35-45min 'danger zone' as I like to call it, then all's good!
