Transition between three and four months
« on: April 22, 2011, 20:37:21 pm »
Hello all,

I am sure there are many threads about this on the forum, but unfortunately every time I try to do a  search it won't allow it.

I have been trying to find information on how to transition my LO from feeding every 3 hours to feeding every 4 hours instead.   Could someone please outline for me how this is done or tell my what pages to read in the Secrets of the Baby Whisperer book or in The Baby Whisperer solves all your problems book?  I don't know why I cannot find it.

Thanks a lot,
Meghan

Here are a couple of links. Bear in mind though that not all BF bubs make to a solid four hour EASY until solids are established.

Hope this helps. Any more questions just ask.  :)

Thanks a lot this helps a bunch.  I am Scared to start this since he is doing so well with the 3 hour, but just today when I went to feed him after 3 hours he seemed rather uninterested which is not like him at all so it is probably time.

Hi Emma I had a question about me and Bean's post.  We are already at the 3 hr and 15 minute EASY point with my son, but I noticed she quickly goes from a bed time at 7:30 to one at 6:30 between 3 hr 10 min and 3 hr 15 min.  We currently have been going to bed at 7:30.  We didn't know we were supposed to stop the Cluster Feedings so tonight is our first night of cutting that out and then adding in the dreamfeed.  WE tried the dreamfeed before, but he would wake up with stomach troubles it seemed.  We'll have to see how tonight goes.  Do you think it was a typo to go from Cat Naps and awake time before bed, straight to a 6:30 bed time?

Thanks,
Meghan

 Hi hon,

SO sorry but not quite understanding what you are saying (a wee bit sleep deprived!). Are you concerned because your bedtime has got earlier becaus eoyu have dropped the CN?

When dropping the CN its not unusual to have an early night to compensate. Feel free to wite down your EASY and we can have a wee look if you like.  :)
