Interesting snack ideas
« on: May 18, 2011, 09:04:03 am »
Hi,

I would like my LO to have more snacks as he goes into meltdown waiting for meals otherwise.  Problem is if anything he eats too much fruit and dried fruit so often his poos are a bit squishy!  Likewise though I don't want to feed him too much sugary stuff, especially between meals so I'm looking for ideas.  I saw someone suggested grated carrot on a BLW thread which I might try as a snack.  He's gone off toast completely recently, just throws it but he also has fads on other things, like blueberries are the best food ever for a week then he just won't touch them and throws them across the room.

Btw, he's breastfed, traditionally weaned (although on finger foods a lot of the time now and chopped foods) and gets offered cow's milk with his snacks.

Thanks

He just throws breadsticks and I think cheerios are a bit high in sugar?
