Lots of Milk - But is it Filling her little Tummy up????
« on: June 02, 2011, 02:18:40 am »
Hello,

Just a quick questions :)

I have lots of Milk... When I express I collect about 250ml per feed.

My little girl of 7.5 Months is waking every 3 hours at night and she always has a big feed.

Is it possible - that while I may have the amount of Milk she needs it may not necessarily be giving her the nutrients she needs?

I have been under quite a lot of stress lately and just started back at work again full time...

Thanks!!

I doubt it that your milk doesn't have the nutrients your LO needs, she might just be a hungrier baby! ;)
What are her daytime feeds like? What's her solids intake like?

I also had copious amounts of milk when I pumped for my DS (never really had to with DD).

One thing at this age that may mean you have to feed more often is high distraction. Does your DD come off often to nose at what is going on around her? My two were really curious from 4 mths and I really had to feed them in the dark in their bedroom or at least in someone else's bedroom away from the hustle and bustle even when we were visiting other people.

HTH and good luck x
