Sleeping longer stretch at night, BUT having EWs ???
« on: June 03, 2011, 09:11:35 am »
After cutting DS2 Awake time to 3.5 he has been napping well in the am (he used to nap for only 30 mins with Awake time of 4). He was soo grumpy as he didn't get enough sleep also he had 2 - 3 NWs. Now he's waking up atleast once for a feed.

This is his typical EASY :-

Wakes up at 6.30 (used to be 7.30).

A - 6.30 - 10.
S - 10 - 11.

A - 11 - 2.30.
S - 2.30 - 4.30.

A - 4.30 - 8.

Bedtime 8.

He wakes up at around 3am I breastfeed him and he goes down straight away. Then he usually wakes up at 5 and I try to get him to sleep without feeding him. If he refuses I feed him and he sleeps and wakes up either at 6 or 6.30am.

I was thinking could the reason be that he is getting to much day sleep which in turn steals his night sleep? Also how come his sleep is soo light at around 5 and he wakes up easily?

TIA xXx

Thanks Jane for your reply. I was thinking that I should cut one of his naps as well. I've also found out that he's teething. So that could also be the reason for the EWs.
