EASY 4 hour questions and chronic NW starting
« on: June 04, 2011, 01:15:30 am »
My DS has been doing better with his naps since we switched him to the 4 hour EASY, but it isn't really  4 hour becasue I cannot get him to sleep longer than an hour during his naps.  Here is his current schedule:

E 7:30
S 9:30 - 10:40

E 11:30
S 1:30 ish  - 2:40

E 3:30
S 5:00 - 5:35

E 7:00
S 7:30 - 1:30am  (this is when all heck breaks loose!)

DF 11:00

E 3:00ish

So now here is my question.  From 1:30 onward he is waking every hour or half hour whereas he used to sleep solid from 7:30pm - 3am for one feeding and then would sleep pretty good until about 6:30am.

This is driving my husband and I crazy.  We started formula mixed with EBM for last feeding and for DF because I cannot produce enough milk and it seems he might be waking with gas.  We have tried different formula and currently I am waiting on a call back from our pediatrician as to what we should do next.  But I am also wondering if perhaps it is because we have changed his EASY schedule and now he is all askew and not sleeping enough during the day?  He was only sleeping for 45 minutes before when we were at 3 hour 30 min EASY.  He is not OT at all at 2 hours and seems much happier with this.  He also wakes up happy from his naps every time.  I guess my question is do you think the NW could now be because of gas or too short of naps or what???

Thanks for any ideas and advice you may have.

Hugs. This sounds very much lick my LO, who will be 4 months this week. He also suffers with a lot of gas due to change in formula (I guess) and it's definitely contributing to wakes ups. Do you still swaddle him?
