PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS JUST A TEETHING BOUT!!
« on: July 10, 2011, 21:08:03 pm »
Hello

Our little guy is now 16.5 months.  Recent issue is tough to put down to bed and up every 2 hours through the night.
Put down and nap time is a breeze.  Bedtime has always been a breeze.  Being going on and off for past week now.

Here's his routine:

7am Wake Up
8am Breakfast
11:30am Lunch
1-3pm Nap
5pm Dinner
7pm Bath
7:30pm Books
8pm Bedtime

** I am going to try and put him down by 7:15pm tonight and move his bath time to 6pm.  He is very active during his bath with his older sister and this is more stimulating the calming.
** I occasionally have him with lights out by 7:30pm.  I would prefer this so his day is more near 12 hours than 13 hours.

Any thoughts?
Natasha

Have you tried pain meds to see if that makes a difference?  How did it go tonight with bath time a bit earlier?

Hi

Earlier bedtime worked a bit better last night.  We didn't have time for his nap because we had visitors but I did start reading books to him at 7:20pm and lights were out at 7:45pm.  He cried and it escalated for 20 minutes and then he remained asleep for the rest of the night.  There were no night wakings.  As well I gave him children's tylenol and homeo teething tablets.

I will try an early bath tonight and books beginning at 7pm.  Hopefully this will help.

I am sorry...I meant time for his "bath". Of course he napped.  That would have been a nightmare day :)

Yes...I am shooting for an even earlier bath/bedtime this evening.
Regards

ACE!  Breath of fresh air!! Thank you!

Bath was at 6:30pm.  PJ's, Books started at 7pm.  After books I hummed to him in my arms for about 5 minutes to settle him down.  Yawned and rubbed eyes several times.  In bed, no back rubbing or soothing by 7:30pm.  Not a peep!!

Wow, does this every feel great and back to normal!
