6m Routine
« on: August 05, 2011, 04:55:49 am »
My DD is now 6m old and has started eating solids 3xs a day as well as nursing after feedings. What type of schedule is normal for a 6m old while eating solids? I am very unsure! My milk supply has also been decreasing ever since I started pumping now that I work, which is a major concern for me!  ???

My DD schedule:
5am  - BF
S
7am  - BF
S
A 8am
10am - Solids then BF (or 4oz bottle, though that amount is decreasing  :( )
S (12-1)
1pm  - Solids then BF (or 4oz bottle, though that amount is decreasing  :( )
S (3-4)
4pm  - BF
7pm  - Solids then BF
10pm - BF

This has been her schedule for a long time now and I feel like it needs adjusting, just not sure what all to do

Thanks

Hi, does this help?

http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=68458.0

Personally I gave solids an hour after a BF and followed the 4 hour routine. We did have a DF and a NF at that age too.

Is 10am your breakfast and 7pm your dinner?

Personally routines didn't work for us with BF till our LO was 10 months!  I got myself tied up in a knot with the BW which I have a lot of time for but I found that very few books really had all that much experience of BF mothers, especially past 6 months.

I reckon you do what works for you and not worry too much unless it's affecting her mood, her sleep or you.
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/

My LO is almost 6 1/2 months too and our routine is the same, but we start our day an hour later!
