hi
my lo has started waking at around 10.30 to 10.40 every nite on the button for the last 4 nites. she wakes up crying. we pick her up and sit her up and she falls back asleep i can hear bubbles going off in her stomach. when we lay her back into her cot she cries again. when she eventually goes to sleep she will guranteed wake in 30 mins there abaouts again. and will continue like that til i feed her around 12 the last few nites. its not habit cos she is a textbook baby - she seems to be waking from discomfort anyone have this happen?

My LO would wake during this time for 2 reasons.: OT or pain.
Can you post your routine in EAS format?

hi
i breastfed her exclusively until bout 3 weeks ago. i have weaned her onto 2 formula bottles in the day and 2 small meals in day. here is our easy now:
7.30-8am E (breastfeed)
10.30am S
12am E (6-7oz bottle + pear and baby rice (she has problems with lactose so iv to take solids slowly)
2.30pm S (for about 1 hour)
5pm E (breastfeed)
6/6.30pm E (sweetpotato)
7/7.30pm (again a 6/7/8 oz bottle)
this is over the last few days as so many things changing. i feed her myself when she wakes at night (over last few days i eventually feed her at around 12 and she may sleep or not thru the nite)
its when we put her down on her back she gets upset - plus she sounds raspy in her throat - just wondering if its teeth or maybe silent reflux?

I forgot to ask - how old is your LO?
The raspiness for us was reflux. But it could also be something simple like a cold or extra fluid because of teething. Are you seeing other signs of reflux?

hi
she is 7 months next week. just put her to bed at 9 tonight and she was awake by 9.45 went back to sleep after sobbing for little while but woke again 20 mins ago. raspy troat and dry cough worse at night. since we introduced the bottes and solids its brought all this on. she is fine if i feed her at 12 at night so i feel as tho her throat must be sore. she not spitting up at all and she is a big baby 8 lbs 12oz at birth so she wont settle for small feeds.

hi again!
i just went up to my LO and elevated the back of the cot with about 4 books and put 2 pillows underneath her torso and off she went to sleep. i could see her wriggling before i put the pillows underneath her. sure looks like reflux now. when i think bout it i have been giving her 7-8 oz bottles and just 3 meals a day. mayvbe i should feed her six times a day instead of 3 big meals? any other advice on reflux?

Can I ask why you switched to formula?
How you do know she doesn't tolerate lactose? Any chance she is MPI?

switched because i'm going back to work in bout 3 weeks plus i have had some difficulty with recurrent plugged ducts andmastitis so doc advised that i start weaning at 6 months. i have her on nutramigen for mspi even tho she has a lactose intolerance. that was diagnosed by the doc. she is sleeping away now but iv pillows proping her up and im concerned that it may not be the safest

Since you are still Bfing, have you cut soy and dairy from your diet?
When we propped the crib, we put 2x4's under the one side of it. That way the whole crib was lifted. Your LO is older though and might roll to the bottom.

iv cut out dairy but am having soya, yogurts etc. her formula is dairy and soya free. she slept til 6 am this morning propped up with pillows so must be reflux? iv not been great with the dairy and have had some over last few days. could she really get affected by the small amount i would be taking now?
