16-month-old NW - plays for 2 hrs in crib!
« on: September 24, 2011, 19:39:43 pm »
Hi... I'm having a strange situation with my 16-month-old daughter. She's never been the greatest sleeper, but things were gradually getting better. A new issue popped up a couple of weeks ago: She'll wake up most nights, usually at around 2am, and very LOUDLY chat/play/yell for 2+ hours before finally settling herself back down again. She goes to bed at 7:30, we get her up at 7:30 (she usually wakes at 6:45-ish) and hangs out in her crib. She's on one nap now, from 12:30 - 2:30.

She's definitely teething - do you think that could be it? She doesn't cry when she wakes, though. In the past with teething she's woken crying, which is why I'm not sure what's going on here!  ???

Thank you!!

I would say she may be ut. Have you tried capping her nap at 1.5hrs. We were doing 10hr nights on 2hr naps at this age but 11 on 1.5so he actually got more sleep overall on a shorter nap.
