1 nap and night waking
« on: November 13, 2011, 09:58:29 am »
Hi all,

Katelyn is finally on the 1 nap a day!!!  :)

BUT ..... she has started with night waking (s)

Her previous EASY was -

7.30 - Awake
10 - 10.30 - Nap 1 (wake her up or she wouldnt have a 2nd nap)
2.30 - 3.30 Nap 2 (wake her up or she wouldnt go to bed)
7.30 - Bedtime

Her EASY now is -

7.30 - Awake
1 - 3.30 - Nap
7.30 - Bedtime

She has started waking in the night around 1am, she settles after an hour and after some milk.

Do you think she is having too much daytime sleep that it's affecting her nights?

Thank you for reading x x x

How old is she now?  I wouldn't say she's having too much day sleep if she's gone to one nap.  Can you bring nap and bedtime forward slightly as she may be slightly OT.

She's 14 months now Karen. Somedays i'll put her down for her nap earlier and let her have longer but it doesn't make a difference with the night waking x x x

We had similar happen when Lewis went on one nap.  Guess they can be bit OT from it.  Is she teething at all?  You'll prob find things will settle once she's been on one nap for a while and has got used to it.

She doesnt appear to be in pain but I had medicated before bed just to be on the safe side. I will keep plodding on and hopefully things will settle again x x x
