My DS is 4.75months will be 5months on the 9th.... He is getting harder to put to sleep.... I think he needs an increase in A time... One problem hes way past what the recommended A time is for his age. He is currently at 2-2.5 hours A time. Here is our EASY. Also... once he is asleep I often have to wake him in order for him to eat.... Thoughts??

7am up 7-8oz
9-930am sleep (1.5-2hours)
11am 7-8oz
1pm sleep (1.5-2hr +)
3pm ***pften wake him up here 7-8oz bottle
415-430 2tbsp cereal
515-600 Catnap
630 bath
7-715 7-8oz bottle
745-8 Bedtime

I am no expert and I'm sure more lovely women will give advice, but what do you mean he is getting harder to get to sleep? for nap? BT? is he sttn or feeds at night? I personally don't think 2-2.25 A is too much, it's actually right for his age.

My LO was also on the high end of A times and till this day is having more A time then "the book says". If he is napping well I wouldn't worry about it.
I would also like to hear the answers for Mimi's questions and I am also wondering why you think he needs an increase of his A time?

He is fussy at nap and BT... we often have to go in 3 or 4 times to re-swaddle or replug the paci... as he wiggles out or plays with the paci. Prior to this.. we would lay him in the crib and he would humm to himself for 1-2min and be out like a light.
he has been sttn for about 8weeks now. with the occasional night feed if we get desperate when he wont go back to sleep with the paci.

Well, it does sounds as if he is UT. You could try and stretch the A time a bit, sometimes as little as 5min can make a difference. Just be careful you are not destroying the lengths of naps and the fact he is sleeping quite well at night.
