Sorry there seems to be loads of posts about this at the moment but wanted to see about mine.
My LO has always woken about 5am... Goes back to sleep after a couple of replugs of the dummy and is tired (isn't up for the day - all singing all dancing).
We have done some experiments with dropping her DF and just feeding her when she wakes but although it stops her waking at 5am she can take ages to settle (usually around 2am) so we are back to the DF.
I have just started weaning her - she is a big baby 18 pounds already. Last night she woke at 4 30am out of her swaddle. I reswaddled, put dummy in ...She settled for 15 mins.. Dummy came out, replugged and she slept till 6! Replugged and she slept till 7.30.
Last night she only had half her DF so might have needed a feed after all. I was just being tough with her... Lol... She does need to be full up to settle well being the size she is.
Our EASY is normally like this....
7.00 - wake
7.30 - BF
8.30 - Solids
9.00 - Nap
11.00 - wake
11.30 - BF
12.30 - solids
13.00 - nap
15 00 - Wake and BF
16 00- solids
17.00 - CN
17.45 - Wake
18.00 - BF
18.30 - bedtime routine
19.00 - FF bottle
19.30 - bed
11-11.30 - DF
This is give or take half an hour. Sometimes she sleeps longer in the am if we have had a rough night... And sometimes she has a lot less sleep in the pm as that is when we tend to go out ( I have a 3 Yo) and she doesn't sleep as longer in the buggy or car.
I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing when she does wake up at 5. I don't talk, just replug and ignore. She doesn't cry, but she never really does cry... She's a very chilled bubba.
Any comments or thoughts would be great so I can nip this in the bud. I want my girls to share a room in the new year and don't really want this to be going on in another room where she might wake DD1.
Thanks
