How do I fit in 4BF's at 7mo?
« on: December 06, 2011, 21:45:44 pm »
This is our approx Easy for 7Mo B.

E 0700 BF and solids 1hr later
A 3hrs
S 10.00-11.30ish

E 11.30 BF and solids 1 hr later
A 3hrs
S 2.30-4ish

This is where it gets hard. If I E at 4pm he doesn't want to eat again before bed at 6.30 but is ready for bed at 7pm so I can't do it later.
E 1600
A 3hrs
E 6.30 - often doesn't want

I have tried feeding at 2.30 but he falls asleep so quickly that he still wants to eat afterwards?
S 1900 (is always ready at this time whether last nap is 30mins or 2.5hrs

I looked at the easy samples for 7mo but they only have 3 feeds. I know WHO recommmendations are 4 until 10mo???

Any thoughts appreciated.

I'd either do one each end of the afternoon nap and count it as one full feed, or do a DF at 8ish, or express and offer milk as the drink with solids, rather than water. Not sure if you do a BT bath, but when DS was refusing to eat at BT, I hopped in the bath with him and he was happy to feed in there :P That lasted about 2 weeks, then he'd happily feed in the normal feeding spot at BT and go down without a fuss.
