Dilemma at night
« on: December 07, 2011, 18:46:49 pm »
Providing Levi isn't extremely OT he can go about 11 hours without a feed at night. With a DF he goes 12 hours... However if he has a DF he ends up waking early due to peeing through his nappy. No DF means a dry baby.
So DF = can go longer at night but wakes early due to wetting through
No DF = around 10-11 hours straight without waking but of course due to his A times being so low itmakes for a longer day and heads towards OT

Believe me when I say I have done EVERYTHING to stop him wetting through and it just doesn't work, he is usually still bone dry when I change his nappy at the DF so he is wetting in the early hours of the morning.

Which do I go with?

Is he in disposables or washables?  Have you tried another brand?  I find Nature nappies are GREAT for leaks.  SUppose if you do a df you could change his nappy just before/after the feed ???
p.s. Wow on 12 hours with no feed!

I wrote in my original post that he's dry atthe DF, I've changed him them and he's always dry. I've tried every brand of nappy.

Sorry - I just wondered if changing after the df would work, but suppose that doesn't give him enough time to fill the nappy!  What happens if you just change him when he wakes in the morning - would he go back to sleep if you treated it like a nw? Or could you change it before you go to bed/in middle of the night - or would that waken him too much?
