short nights, NW & EW
« on: December 09, 2011, 07:55:55 am »
the last 2 wks A has had cold and now we have some teething happening. before that he was sleeping better than ever, long nights and naps. the past wk he has been getting alot of NW'S short nights and now EW'S. could it be a number of things illness, cold, teething and OT?  he was up at 4 this morning just wide awake, decided just to get up get on with it, im thought trying to keep him up til 12 as i know he would refuse a 2nd nap. thinking maybe a routine change might be needed, he takes ages to fall asleep at night 20/30 mins and with the EW'S aswell?

he seems to do quite well with a short A time in the morning. wondering also if he needs to cut his nap. this was tuesdays day:

7:20 awake
8:00 b/fast
9:15 snack
11:00 lunch
12:15 sleep (2hrs) we normally let him sleep fro 2.5
14:45 snack
17:30 dinner
20:10 ( he normally does 5.5 at night but taking ages to fall asleep these days)

He went down no problem, was up again at 12 as he had his foot stuck in the cot. He took a while to settle but not heard anything since. I think i might cut his nap 2 day see what happens

A is sleeping alot better now, we still have the NW at 3am. he is easy to settle so im guessing OT, im not sure where in his routine thats causing the problem.
