Need cheering on, having a wobble
« on: December 20, 2011, 02:45:32 am »
Wierd because I was never in any doubt that I would BF.

But I'm def having a wobble - I have tried her with a bottle recently so I can hand her over for the OSS feed. But am having a real downer On BF. Some of it is about always second guessing how much she takes - like tonight - she's woken after 3 hours, but is a bit neither here nor there about it and has fallen asleep after about 10 mins nursing.

I'm fed up of my spot on the sofa already!!!

But I'm going back to work at 6 months so it's not really that long - I'm going to push on and s33 if this fades - need some cheers to get me through I think

**You are doing great!!** :)

Try not to worry about the amount of time she feeds, and focus more on how content she seems. If she was good after 10 min tonight, then let it be. She might nurse for 20 min next time (or another amount) and seem happy afterwards. You never know. But *you don't have to*, and that's the great thing about BF'ing-she'll get what she needs regardless!

**Keep it up!**

^^^^^^^^^^ this!  :)

Just focus on 1 day at a time, one week at a time -- you know it gets easier with each day and week that passes.  6 weeks is much easier than 4 weeks, 2 months easier than 6 weeks, and so on!

Hang in there, you can do it!

Thanks girls - she is getting quicker definitely. But see she's woken again after 2 hours, I tried resettling with the dummy but I don't have the patience - so I've fed her and within 2 mins she's dozing and only sucking not feeding. I'm going to change her nappy to try and wake her up.

You're right though - I know it does get easier very quickly - nights are the worst!

{{{{hugs H}}}}

It does get better.  i tried to take it a day at a time at that stage as when i thought of it stretching into weeks I'd panic about whether I wanted to keep it up and like you I was never in doubt I'd BF!

I did co-sleep alot in the early weeks and it made such a difference but not every one is comfortable with that x
