Going against easy. Would you?
« on: February 18, 2012, 21:49:17 pm »
Ok I just posted something similar about how to help, my LO change her schedule for a ten month old but maybe the real answer is not doing easy at all. What would you do. . The big problem is her sleep time is going into her bottle time. It take my LO many times an hour to fall asleep. We did CIO a few months ago  she cried once for twenty minutes and that was the end of it  she was putting herselfnto sleep and now she happy plays and someties wines for up to an hour and then rolls over and falls asleep. Here's the problem. I recently added an hour to her activiy time.
630 wake
E.   7 bottle
8 breakfast
A 7-10
S.  10 sleep ( takes an hour. But now she is hungry)
She will either do the morning or the afternoon without a problem. Might have to delay feeding half an hour.
E. 11 am  bottle
12 pmfood
A 11-2 pm
S 2 pm  but she falls asleep at 3 which is her eating time.
E 3 pm bottle

630 bottle and bed by 7

What if I fed her before the naps.  Any help on anyone else dealing with something similar.

Hi Lisacancun, Is your LO 10 months old? The EASY schedule is not so much a 'schedule' but more of a routine. SO you don't need to worry too much that she;ll be sleeping over her bottles as she should be able to manage to go longer than 4 hours- especially as she is now eating solids.

What i'm wondering is if she is starting to hit the 2-1 transition stage- have a look at this link and see if it seems to fit with what your are experiencing:

Also- this support thread- the ladies might have some suggestions for how they manage the eating:

Let me know if you have any other questions- but i think the 2-1 nap transition could be starting with your LO- and sometimes you have to get a little creative about how you are offerring the food!

If she's 10 months old, she probably needs more A time than 3hr and is taking so long to fall asleep because she's undertired.

Check out these example routines: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=164253.0
You may be looking at the start of dropping to one nap: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=163278.0
This link shows what A times typically are for various ages: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=64158.msg476652#msg476652

Feeding before naps is fine - just watch out for feeding to sleep - AEAS is something that a lot of use end up doing by this age because the A time is getting longer and LO's need the food to fuel their activity :)
