night waking sfor up to 3 hours! Help
« on: April 28, 2012, 19:10:45 pm »
Hi,

14 month old had been very sick two weeks ago, and is better the last week and has started to wake at maybe 2 or 3 am, i go in say its night time, tuck her back in. Then she sreams i keep going back in, leave when she stops crying repeat. How do i put down? Do i pick up at all if she wakes??. I think she got so much attention when she was sick and now its realy hard to settle during the night.
Routine:
7am up/ Breakfast
10 sanck
12.15/12.30 nap
2.15/2.30 wake/snack
4.30 Tea
6.45 Milk/supper
7.30 bed

Not sure what to do as last night she woke at 2am, and she went bcak to sleep at 4.50 am, and was tired at 7.30 as i woke her, but need to keep day routine. Does she need two hour nap during the day. I really am not sure DH thinks to let her cry for 5 mins then go back in, but im not for that, and stay in the room. Please help any advice would really help us all. 2 nd baby due in 3 months and hope to have her settled.

Thanks M

she is waking up crying, and we leave her for a couple of mins to see does she settle, but she gets louder?

HUGS - At 14 months you are probably better to do WI/WO rather than PU/PD. That said when Z NW I still PU and try to settle first if Im not sure what the NW is about ie discomfort/fear/SA

So when you go in there what is happening? Do you PU/PD then do GW ie sit in the room till she is asleep?

Your routine looks good. Does she wake from her nap on her own at 2hrs?
