DS peels and then doesn't eat fruit

Pretty much that... DS begs for fruit, peels it and then a lot of the time, refuses to eat it. For a while, he would eat it but now he's far more interested in peeling it.

He's practicing the skill hey? I think you can't begrudge him that. Either let him peel it and then eat the fruit yourself (maybe he'd want to share it)? or offer him something already peeled or that he can eat skin on.

If I eat any more bananas or mandarins, though, I'll turn yellow! Part of me is wishing we didn't make such a big deal of it the first time he peeled and segmented a mandarin :P

Shall go in search of a larger variety of fruits for him to peel.

I suppose it would be too mean to give him a piece of fruit that can't be peeled by hand, like an apple.  Obviously, he is only interested in the peeling part (now that he knows it can be done), not the eating.

No, he peels apples with his teeth ::) fully peels the blinkin' thing and leaves the rest of the apple!

He just stands at the table and says 'this, this, this' over and over til he gets a piece of fruit. I'd rather give him the opportunity to peel it and I'll find a way to use it than model digging my heels in...
