My time is correct for the first time since I joined! I never knew I could change it!

Well after living with it for a week now I have to be honest...I don't like it.  I miss the old 'look' - is this the only theme or can we make it look more like the old board? (just asking hehe)

I get why it had to be upgraded but there are a few things that just looked better in the old version.

There.  I've said it.  An incredible weight has been lifted lol

Of course I'm very appreciative and do understand why an upgrade is necessary...just wish they didn't try to get so 'fancy' for lack of a better word...

I'm sure I'll get used to it :)

I think I might just leave the current time after all of that.  ;D

I can also say I don't like the columns either side of the screen and that the pic and user name now take up half the screen making the text one skinny column.

I dont appear to be getting the 'warning another reply has been posted' or whatever it used to say when someone posted whilst you were replying, so have missed a few replies here and there because they've been posted whilst I was typing....just me?

Don't think it is, Catherine, think I've had that too, but missed it so much that I didn't notice until someone pointed out they all ready posted as their reply was before mine and "show new posts" showed from after my post :-[

If you go to the look and layout option under modify profile there is a box to tick that says don't notify me of new posts while replying. Have you checked if that is ticked? If so, uncheck it. Mine isn't and I am getting the warnings ok still.

Ah, I haven't been getting those warnings. Will go and check now. Thanks for that tip Ali. I was thinking I was going daft!

I'm on my phone and can't see if anyone has mentioned it but the text box has become soo skinny that I am only getting one word per line (on my phone that is, not my computer) :-\ which is making it impossible to read through all the replies :(

Yes, a few of us have mentioned it Jazz. It is better on the computer but still a very skinny column about a quarter of the screen width.

Yeah I was on my phone when I said I didn't like it.  I like it more on the laptop...but it's still shrunk/skinny/hard to read.  There has literally been no time around here for DH to do much.  He's currently working on my car brakes...it's never ending.

At least it's up and running, despite it looking a lot different and a bit finicky, it is a stepping stone to a more pumped up version with chat and search and whatever else we want to have :)

Yes, I hope this can all be taken as constructive criticism / useful feedback as intended and not just complaining ;)

Yeah he's cool with it all :)  He knows the issues with esthetics and functionality...it just needs a bit of tweaking.  We need more hours in our day around here...or maybe if we didn't need to sleep LOL  That could afford us another 8 hrs per day!
